The Swedish government has decided to allocate a new - 12th - support package for Ukraine, with a total value of approximately SEK 250 million, according to the Swedish Ministry of Defence.
The sum of SEK 140 million will be allocated through the British fund International Fund for Ukraine, which is used to purchase defence equipment. Among other things, the fund plans to purchase long-range robots to transfer them to Ukraine.
The Swedish government is also allocating SEK 90 million to the NATO Support Fund for Ukraine. The purpose of the fund is to purchase defence equipment, fuel, medical equipment, military training equipment, and to strengthen and modernise Ukraine's defence and security institutions.
It also provides for training of Ukrainian pilots and aviation personnel on JAS 39 Gripen fighters. In addition, up to 60 Swedish Armed Forces personnel will join the establishment of logistics and service centres near Ukraine - in Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
The Swedish Armed Forces also intend to develop a long-term solution for the supply of missile systems such as Robotsystem 70, Stridsfordon 90, Stridsvagn 122 and Archer, which were donated to Ukraine.
