Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyy has shared a Facebook video of his HQ work together with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Shaptala.
Zaluzhnyy said that he and Shaptala had worked with groups of troops performing "the most difficult tasks in the areas where the fiercest fighting is taking place".
He stressed that the Russians are trying to prevent the advance of Ukrainian troops. To this end, they have deployed a system of fortifications with dense minefields and a large number of reserves.
"Despite the fierce resistance of the occupiers, our soldiers are doing everything possible to liberate Ukrainian territory. The operation continues according to plan," Zaluzhnyy said.
According to the General Staff, the Russians continue to focus their main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka sectors, where heavy fighting continues. There were 39 combat engagements during the day.
