Russia continues to focus on the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka directions. Fierce fighting continues.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy onslaught and looked for weak points in the defence. Russians tried to stop the advance of the defenders to the south of Novoselivskyy in order to push them beyond the barrier line of the Oskil River, reported Deputy Minister of Defence Hanna Malyar via Telegram.

"But they didn’t succeed. Our defence forces are powerfully restraining enemy troops," she said.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy also tried to advance and dislodge the defenders in the area of the Serebryan forest. All enemy actions were unsuccessful.

"In the Bakhmut direction, Russians forcefully tried to stop our advance during the week, but our defenders gradually advanced. The liberated area in the Bakhmut direction is 37 sq. km in total. 2 sq. km were liberated during the week," said Malyar.

In the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, the occupiers mainly focused on conducting offensive actions for establishing complete control over Maryinka and the surroundings of Avdiivka - but did not succeed.

Under heavy fire from aviation and artillery, the Defence Forces of Ukraine liberated Staromayorske in Donetsk Region.

In the south, the Defence Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions. In the direction of Mala Tokmachka, Robotyn of the Zaporizhzhia Region Ukrainians succeeded and now are footholding on the achieved milestones.

There are 204.7 sq km of liberated area overall, particularly 12.6 sq km were liberated this week. 

The dismissal of Staromayorsk was officially announced last week. The village was liberated by the 35th separate brigade of the marines together with the 129th brigade of the "Arey" TDF. Defenders continue to clear the village. Before, the General Staff reported that the defenders are progressing in this direction.

Staromayorske is a village in the Volnova district of the Donetsk Region, located near the border with Zaporizhzhya.
