Today, the Ukrainian energy company Ukrenergo's grid has approximately 70-80% of last year's capacity, and it will continue to increase, the company's board chairman, Volodymyr Kudrytskyy, has said.
He said that a team of Ukrenergo specialists was visiting all regions where the company is present to discuss preparations for the heating season and coordinate the actions of power engineers and local authorities.
"We are currently updating our response protocols, updating step-by-step instructions to be even more prepared for the possible challenges of the coming winter. This work is underway and will be completed by the end of the summer," Kudrytskyy emphasised.
He noted that Ukrenergo is preparing for the worst-case scenarios this winter.
According to Kudrytskyy, the key factors of the power system stability in the new heating season are the restoration of power facilities, protection of equipment, protection of the sky and economical electricity consumption by the population.
