Ukrainian presidential office head Andriy Yermak said that during the consultations in Saudi Arabia, different views were expressed on the principles of peace for Ukraine, but all those present showed their countries' commitment to the principles of the UN Charter.
On 5 August, the second meeting of diplomatic advisers on national security and political directors of the foreign ministries of the leading countries of the world on the principles of restoring peace for Ukraine took place in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) after the launch of the relevant format in Copenhagen in June.
The Ukrainian delegation to Jeddah was headed by Yermak.
The meeting was attended by national security advisers and political directors of the foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia, Australia, Argentina, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, the European Union, Egypt, India, Spain, Italy, Jordan, and the United States, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Qatar, Poland, Qatar, the Republic of Korea, Romania, Slovakia, the Union of the Comoros, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United States of America, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and the United Nations.
In total, more than 40 countries were represented in Jeddah, almost three times as many as at the Copenhagen consultations.
"Each state participating in the consultations has the opportunity to show leadership in global efforts for peace. And most of them have already identified their role in implementing certain points of the Peace Formula," the presidential office said.
The parties agreed to continue working at various representative levels. The Ukrainian delegation headed by Yermak also held a series of bilateral meetings that will continue on Sunday.
The Jeddah forum is taking place without Russia's participation, although the Kremlin has said it will monitor the event.
