The Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed a Russian Murom-M surveillance system in Kherson Region, the National Guard of Ukraine has said.
"The enemy surveillance system was located on the bridge over the Konka River in Kherson Region. With its help, the occupiers conducted round-the-clock surveillance to prevent the breakthrough of the Ukrainian Defence Forces," the National Guard said.
Soldiers of the 11th Hrushevskyy Brigade of the National Guard's Southern Operational and Territorial Unit calculated the coordinates of the Russian video surveillance system and hit it with a single accurate strike.
Murom-M is a system for long-range visual surveillance. It is equipped with an optical camera with a good zoom that allows one to see a person at a distance of up to 10 km, while a thermal imager in the dark detects a car at 8 km and people at 4 km.
