The Armed Forces of Ukraine have confirmed the damage to the Chonhar and Henichesk road bridges, the Strategic Communications Centre has said on Telegram.
"At about 15:00, the Ukrainian Defence Forces hit two key logistics routes for the occupiers - the Chonhar and Henichesk road bridges," it said.
According to Russian media, earlier the occupying "administrations" reported the shelling of two bridges on the border of Kherson Region and Crimea - the Chonhar bridge and the bridge across the Tonka Strait, which connects Henichesk, Kherson Region, with the Arabat Spit.
In particular, Russia-installed "head of Crimea" Sergey Aksyonov mentioned a "missile strike in the area of the Chonhar bridge". According to him, the strike caused damage to the roadway.
The "acting governor" of Kherson Region, Volodymyr Saldo, reported that the bridge over the Tonka Strait was shelled. Saldo claimed that a total of 12 rockets were fired, nine of which were allegedly shot down.
The Chonhar checkpoint is one of three on the border of occupied Crimea and Kherson Region. Its operation has been temporarily suspended. The Armyansk and Perekop checkpoints are operating as normal.
The Russians used the Chonhar road bridge to deliver ammunition and fuel from occupied Crimea to the Russian group in southeastern Ukraine.
