The Russian Federation has aimed its propaganda at attempting to destroy the unity of Ukrainian society and trust between Ukraine and its allies, Vadym Skibitskyy, a representative of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, has said.
According to Skibitskyy, Russia thus seeks to disrupt allies' military assistance to Ukraine. Inside Russia, the Kremlin propaganda is aimed at fuelling the myth that the country allegedly retains the ability to develop.
"Our main weapon against this is the truth. Ukraine's military intelligence, for example, has become more open: we publish facts, certain intelligence data that reveal the aggressor's intentions, and make public evidence of Russia's war crimes. This approach is proving to be effective: Russian propaganda cannot achieve its main goals, and therefore Russia is losing the information war," said Skibitskyy.
