Martial law and general mobilisation have been extended for 90 days - until 15 November, 2023.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed laws on the extension of martial law (#9532) and general mobilisation (#9533). This is evidenced by the data of the bill cards on the Verkhovna Rada website. 

The laws are coming into force on 18 August.

On 27 July, the Verkhovna Rada voted to extend martial law and general mobilisation. The decisions were backed by 347 and 334 MPs respectively.

Meanwhile, according to Ukrainian intelligence, the Russian Federation is preparing a new round of mobilisation. The Russian command declares its intention to create a number of new military formations. 

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention will complete inspections of military commissions by the end of this quarter.

Prior to this, the NSDC at a meeting decided to dismiss all regional military recruitment office heads. The National Security Council recommended that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, appoint officers who are directly involved in combat operations to the positions of heads of regional TRCs, after they have been vetted by the Security Service of Ukraine.

Subsequently, a member of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence Fedir Venislavskyy reported that there are lists of those who should replace the dismissed military commissars
