This winter, Ukraine's air defence forces will focus their efforts on protecting the energy sector, strategic facilities and critical infrastructure, said Yuriy Ihnat, NV reports.
According to him, the same tactic was used last winter.
"We will continue to focus our efforts in the same areas as last year. It is clear that the main focus will be on energy sector facilities, especially during the heating season, as well as on strategic facilities of national importance and critical infrastructure," Ihnat said.
He also emphasised that there is a whole list of facilities that could be potential targets for the enemy.
"It should also be borne in mind that the food sector should be included in the list of critical infrastructure facilities, as it is one of the areas of attack by Russia," the spokesman added.
Ihnat noted that Ukraine still lacks appropriate defence systems, so it has to use all available means to protect air targets. Despite all the difficulties, he assured that the air defence will try to destroy everything that flies to Ukraine from Russia.
