The National Anticorruption Bureau has put former Odesa mayor Oleksiy Kostusev on the wanted list, the NABU press service has said.
Kostusev is one of the suspects in the Odesa airport seizure case. He was notified of being suspected under Part 5 of Article 191, Part 2 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code.
According to the investigation, in 2011, a group of people organised a scheme under which the airport became jointly owned by the city and private investors. At the same time, the city lost control of the airport and received no profit. It was valued at UAH 2.5 billion.
In August, the SAPO and the NABU exposed a scheme to illegally seize Odesa International Airport and UAH 2.5 billion in revenue from its operations. Former Odesa mayor Kostusev, his deputy, the head of a limited liability company, and two businessmen, Borys Kaufman and Oleksandr Borukhovych, were declared suspects in the case.
