President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a conversation with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.

Zelenskyy and Rutte discussed efforts to preserve unity in Europe and the importance of ensuring continued military and financial support for Ukraine, the Ukrainian president said on social media.

The president added that "the best signal for other partners" is the recent decision of the Netherlands to provide Ukraine with an additional €2 billion in 2024.

In the Netherlands, a new government is being formed by a far-right party led by anti-EU populist Geert Wilders. He begins to look for coalition partners after a landslide election victory. Wilders also opposes military aid to Ukraine.

The leader of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), Dylan Yesilgoz-Zegerius, to which current Prime Minister Rutte belongs, has ruled out joining a potential Wilders coalition.
