"Gift for Putin": Czechs, Slovaks raise €400,000 in week for DIU helicopter

As part of the "Gift for Putin" initiative, the Czech Republic and Slovakia raised 400,000 euros in a week to purchase a Black Hawk helicopter for the Ukrainian intelligence service. This was reported on Facebook by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

"During the first week, concerned Czechs and Slovaks donated more than 400,000 euros for the helicopter. Its total cost is about 4.3 million euros," the statement said.

The organisers claim that the helicopter has already been inspected by aviation experts from Ukraine. The machine is in good condition and ready to perform combat missions. As soon as the necessary amount of money is raised, the Czech Ministry of Defence will deliver the Black Hawk to Ukrainian reconnaissance men.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine already has one such helicopter in its fleet, which helps to perform combat and special tasks, missions to deliver military cargo and personnel, conduct electronic warfare, and evacuate the wounded.
