On the night of 25 November, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine with over 70 Shahed attack drones. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the attack on the eve of Holodomor Remembrance Day "deliberate terror".
"More than 70 Shaheds [launched] on the night of the Holodomor Genocide Remembrance Day. This is deliberate terror. At this very time. The Russian leadership is proud of the fact that it can kill. Our soldiers shot down most of the drones. Unfortunately, not all of them. But we continue to work to strengthen our air defence and shoot down more. And we continue to work to unite the world in defence against Russian terror. The terrorist state must lose and be held accountable for its actions," Zelenskyy said.
As a result of the massive drone attack on Kyiv, fires broke out in Solomyanskyy, Holosiyivskyy, Dniprovskyy and Pecherskyy districts. As a result of the destruction caused, rescuers had to unblock two women. An 11-year-old child was injured in Solomyanskyy district, and four other people were reported injured.
