On the night of 17 December, one of the Russia-launched drones shot down in Odesa Region fell on a private house and exploded, the Defence Forces South have said.
The blast wave damaged the houses around, as well as a hangar with the property of a private sports institution.
After extinguishing the fire caused by the explosion, one dead man was found at the scene.
"In our area of responsibility, air defence units shot down 16 Shahed-131/136 UAVs launched by the occupiers from Crimea. Seven kamikaze drones were shot down in Kherson Region, nine in Odesa Region," it said.
On the night of 17 December, the air force shot down 20 Shaheds and one Kh-59 guided missile as a result of combat operations.
