Today, 14 March, the German Bundestag again failed to support the transfer of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine, DW reports.
The majority of MPs voted against the draft resolution of the CDU/CSU opposition bloc demanding the delivery of long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine.
The day before, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz once again spoke out against the transfer of these missiles at a meeting of the Bundestag. According to the head of the government, the supply of long-range cruise missiles will make Germany a participant of the war.
Earlier, the United Kingdom offered Germany a roundabout supply of weapons in order to provide Kyiv with long-range Taurus missiles. One possible option is as follows: Berlin would hand over the Taurus to London, and the latter would send the Ukrainians Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
