Ukrainian hackers have destroyed a data centre used by the Russian military-industrial complex. According to LB.ua, it was a joint operation by the BLACKJACK hacker group and the SBU.

Over 10,000 legal entities stored their data in the OwenCloud.ru cloud service. These are enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, oil and gas, metallurgical, aerospace complexes, as well as telecommunications giants.

Among them: the Ural Civil Aviation Plant, Rubin Research and Production Enterprise (part of the Roselektronika holding), Ural Special Equipment Plant, Gazprom, Transgaz, Lukoil, Rosneft, Norilsk Nickel, Rostelecom, Telecom, and Megafon.

According to the interlocutors, the hackers destroyed more than 300 TB of data. These included 400 virtual and 42 physical servers that hosted internal documentation, backups and other applications that allowed customers to remotely manage production processes at their companies.

"The destruction of the Russian data service was a retaliation for the attack on the Ukrainian data centre Parkovyy in January this year," the sources said.
