The Russian military launched an air strike on Sumy, and also hit the Region on 8 April. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

The head of the Sumy RMA, Oleksiy Drozdenko, also said that the occupiers had hit the centre of Bilopilllya with guided bombs.
As of 17:53, the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that three civilians were wounded in the attack.
At 15:30, the Russians struck three times with bombs on the central part of Bilopillya, Sumy district. A woman was killed, two other people were wounded, one in serious condition. In addition, civilian infrastructure and vehicles were damaged.
