Two more traitors were sentenced to 15 years in prison: a former law enforcement officer from Makiyivka, Donetsk Region, and the head of a law enforcement agency in Kherson Region. Both went over to the Russians. The charges against one defector are also pending in court, and five other people have been notified of suspicion.

This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.

According to the report, the Sosnivskyy District Court of Cherkasy handed down a guilty verdict against the former head of a law enforcement agency in Kherson Region, who sided with the aggressor country at the beginning of the full-scale invasion and cooperated with the occupiers in every way possible.

He was found guilty of high treason and sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. The court is also considering a case against his wife, who is also accused of treason.

Another 15-year prison sentence was handed down by the Lychakiv District Court of Lviv to a former security guard from y, Donetsk Region. In 2014, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the illegal armed group 'Russian separatist forces in Ukraine', which took part in the seizure of administrative buildings in Donetsk Region. Later, as part of the so-called people's militia, he fought against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Now, as an employee of one of the Russia's military intelligence units, the man continues to work for the invaders. The court found him guilty of high treason and participation in a terrorist organisation.

The charges against the former law enforcement officer from Izyum district of Kharkiv Region have been sent to court. "After the occupation of Borova village, he joined the local occupation police. The traitor persuaded his colleagues to join the side of the occupiers, patrolled the streets, ensuring the safe stay of Russian military personnel in the occupied territory. During the de-occupation of the village, he fled to Russia," the SBI said.

He is accused of treason.

The SBI also served notices of suspicion in absentia to a former judge and a former law enforcement officer from Luhansk Region, a former security guard from Kupyansk district, and two former law enforcement officers working for the occupiers in the occupied Henychesk.

It is noted that since 2014, the former judge of the Luhansk Region Court of Appeal has been contributing to the creation and operation of the judicial system of the pseudo-republic of the "LPR". Subsequently, Putin appointed him to the position of "judge of the supreme court of the LPR" by his decree. He is suspected of public calls for the overthrow of the constitutional order and the seizure of state power, encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine and high treason.

A former law enforcement officer in the Kupyansk district, after the region was seized by Russians, agitated local residents to obtain Russian passports. The traitor joined the occupation police, where she first worked as an inspector of the so-called migration service, and later rose to the position of deputy head of the department. For working for the enemy, she received 50,000 Russian rubles a month.

In August 2022, the woman received Russian citizenship, and during the liberation of the Region, she decided to flee with the invaders. She is suspected of treason.

Two former law enforcement officers from Henychesk went to work for the occupiers after the city was seized in 2022. One voluntarily became an investigator in an illegal law enforcement agency, while the other took up the position of deputy "head of department - chief of police". The defendants work under the laws of the aggressor country, follow the instructions of the occupation authorities, and engage in repressions against the local population.

The former law enforcement officers are suspected of treason.

A former law enforcement officer from the Starobilsk district of Luhansk Region, who promotes the "Russian world" in the temporarily occupied territory among Ukrainian children, is suspected of collaboration and desertion.

"With the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the law enforcement officer fled from his place of service in the village of Bilovodsk. He was given a position by the occupiers in the 'traffic police service of the people's militia of the LPR'," the Bureau noted.

The defendant fines the population under Russian law, checks cars and patrols settlements in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Region. He also promotes the "Russian world" among Ukrainian children living in the temporarily occupied territory of Starobilsk district - he holds so-called "career guidance events" in educational institutions.

The articles on high treason and collaboration are sanctioned by a sentence of imprisonment for a term of 15 years to life imprisonment.

The actual sentence was imposed on a Russian agent, a labourer from Kropyvnytskyy, who was recruited by the enemy special service early last year. The traitor was preparing a series of Russian air attacks on the Kirovohrad Region. In particular, on the instructions of the FSB, he was to adjust missile strikes on the airfields of the Defence Forces.
