Russia has actively begun preparing for the deportation of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories under the guise of rehabilitation, allegedly for the summer holidays. This was reported by the National Resistance Centre.

"It is already known that 2,480 children and 150 teachers are ready to be taken to St. Petersburg health-resorts for 'rest and psychological rehabilitation'. At least five more regions of Russia have expressed their readiness to join this initiative," the NRC said in a statement.

Last year alone, almost a thousand Ukrainian children from the TOT were taken to Russia under the pretext of "rehabilitation".

"In addition to the relevant Russian authorities, the occupation administration and teachers are responsible for the deportation of Ukrainian children. The occupiers organise such "rest" for Ukrainian children with the sole purpose of brainwashing them under the guise of rehabilitation. Many of these children are no longer returned to Ukraine, as they are often taken out without their parents' permission, or the occupiers obtain permission through pressure," the national resistance adds.
