The defence forces are in full control of the situation in Sumy Region. Russian sabotage groups continue to be active there. They are being eliminated, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said

Russians conducted a provocation in the village of Ryzhivka. There are currently no Russian occupants there.

"As for the village of Ryzhivka, the occupier tried to implement a propaganda operation there. As of this morning, the Russian flag in the village has been destroyed, and there is no occupant presence," the president said.

According to Zelenskyy, our counter-attack actions continue in the Kharkiv Region.

"We can see what steps the enemy is planning and what kind of redeployment they are carrying out. We will respond," he assured.

The situation in Donetsk Region is the worst. The Ukrainian Defence Forces are doing everything to stabilise and protect our positions.

In the southern areas, the President described the situation as unchanged.

"We continue to strengthen our positions," he said.

Zelensky added that he had heard Commander-in-Chief Syrskyy today.

"This week is extremely important for Ukraine's international position. Diplomacy must always rely on effective force to achieve the necessary results. That is why we must now withstand any Russian attacks and provocations at the front and in the border area. And we have to inflict such losses on the Russians that bring our Ukrainian victory closer at all levels," the president said.

This week, the Global Peace Summit will be held in Switzerland, with more than 100 countries and international organisations taking part. We had previously warned that Russia would try to improve its position before the summit.
