Today, the Russians hit civilian infrastructure in Poltava district of Poltava Region. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Filip Pronin.

There are casualties and people may be trapped under the rubble of a building. 

As of 19.30, the Poltava regional prosecutor's office reported 16 victims. Among them are two children.

"The enemy first hit civilian infrastructure with an X-59 cruise missile. As a result of the strike, civilians were injured - we know about 16 people, including 2 children. Six people were hospitalised," the press service of the prosecutor's office said. 


As of 16.38, the number of victims increased to 12 people, including two children. Three people were hospitalised.

The hostile strike also damaged power lines in Poltava district. 53,000 residential and 2,400 legal customers are without power.

Emergency crews are already working to repair the damage to restore power supply as soon as possible.
