Ukrainian soldiers shot down several Russian targets over Sumy Region.
According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, units of the Defence and Security Forces destroyed a ballistic missile, two UAVs and one helicopter.
- On 6 August, fighting continued in the Kursk Region of Russia, which borders Sumy Region. The Russian Federation announced that the border had been breached.
- To repel the Ukrainian attack, the Russian occupiers used, among other things, their aviation.
