On the night of 7 August, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with drones from Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Yeysk. Radio engineering troops detected and shot down all 30 drones.
Combat operations against hostile Russian targets took place in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyy, Vinnytsya, Mykolayiv, Kherson, Kharkiv and Cherkasy Regions. The Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk announced this on Telegram.
"The forces and means of the mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare units of the Air Force were used," he said.
- Russia started the drone attack at around 11pm and it lasted until the morning. As of 7 a.m., air defence systems were still operating in Kyiv Region to counter the Russian drones.
