Ukraine strongly condemns the massive Iranian rocket attack against Israel on the evening of 1 October. Civilians should never be the target of deadly attacks.
This is stated in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
‘The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly condemns the massive Iranian missile attack against Israel on the evening of 1 October 2024. Once again, we call on all parties to the Middle East conflict to prevent the conflict from escalating into a large-scale war, the consequences of which will be catastrophic not only for people in the region but for the whole world,’ the statement said.
The ministry stressed that Ukraine has been resisting Russian aggression for more than 2.5 years, not only Russia but also its allies, including Iran, which has been supplying the aggressor with weapons for the war.
‘We condemn the actions of the Iranian regime, which destabilise two regions at once: Europe and the Middle East. We support the operational actions of Israel's allies and partners who have taken preventive measures to minimise the negative consequences of Iranian rocket attacks on Israeli territory,’ the ministry said.
