On the night of 25 November, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine using Shahed attack drones and unidentified UAVs. The assault originated from Orel, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Crimea, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
As of 11:00 a.m., air defence units had destroyed drones over the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Mykolayiv, and Kherson Regions.
The operation involved aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire groups from the Ukrainian Air Force and Defence Forces.
In total, 145 Russian drones were detected and tracked. Of these, 71 are presumed to have been neutralised by electronic warfare systems, while another flew toward Belarus. Updates on the situation are ongoing.
