The Ossolineum 2025 Award for the best poetic translation was presented in Wrocław. This year’s winner was the renowned Polish poet and essayist Jacek Podsiadło for his translation of the second volume of Vasyl Stus’s poems, published in 2024 by the Warsaw-based publishing house Staromiejski Dom Kultury.

The book is entitled Czas twórczości / Dichtenszeit i listy z niewoli, t. 2 (Time of Creativity / Time of Poetry and Letters from Captivity, vol. 2). The translation of Stus’s letters and the foreword to the collection were prepared by Marcin Gaczowski. The publishing house has already issued the first volume of Time of Creativity – featuring the poet’s letters to his son – and is currently preparing the third volume for publication.
