Former head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and current ambassador to the United Kingdom Valeriy Zaluzhnyy does not intend to resign from his post and continues to perform his duties.
He stated this in a comment to Lb.ua.
Earlier, several media outlets, citing sources in political and diplomatic circles, reported that Zaluzhnyy was preparing to leave his diplomatic post in London in early January.
When asked whether this information was true, he said that he had ‘no plans to resign at this time.’
- Earlier, in October, Zaluzhnyy denied offering military personnel the opportunity to join his future political project. Commenting on widespread media reports, he emphasised that he did not recognise ‘any ideas about holding elections during the war.’
- Zaluzhnyy's non-existent party is often included as an option in opinion polls about hypothetical elections. He consistently has high ratings, including on the question of whether he would be elected president.
