On the morning of 24 March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that recovery work was ongoing in the regions following a massive Russian attack during the night.
In Zaporizhzhya and Poltava, high-rise buildings were damaged and fires broke out.
Almost 40 drones were launched at Shostka in the Sumy Region.
In Slatyn in the Kharkiv Region, a drone struck an electric train.
In total, damage has been reported in 11 regions.
As of now, it is known that four people were killed during the attack. Dozens more were injured, including children.
In total, there were more than 390 attack drones and 34 missiles of various types — ballistic, cruise, and guided air-to-ground missiles.
The President noted that these figures clearly indicate the need for greater protection against Russian strikes.
“It is important to continue supporting Ukraine. It is important that all agreements regarding air defence are implemented on time. And it is important that Europe is able to produce the necessary number of missiles for air defence to protect against any threats,” wrote the Head of State.
