On 17 April 2026, a special literary event will take place at Ukraine House in Washington, featuring Ukrainian writer Volodymyr Rafiyenko and translator Mark Andrychik. Volodymyr Rafiyenko announced this on his Facebook page.
During the event, the author and translator will present the English-language editions of Rafienko’s new books: Signals of Being, Mondegreen: Songs about Death and Love and Petrichor: The Scent of the Earth After Rain.
The event will combine readings, a discussion on translation, and a reflection on the resilience of the Ukrainian spirit in times of trial.
