Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi has confirmed a strike on a Lukoil oil-loading facility in Perm on the night of 6–7 May. In a Telegram post, he said the strike was carried out by the 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF).
Brovdi noted that Ukrainian drone hits on targets 1,550 km away have become routine. He added: “They thought the Urals were safe, but it turned out they were simply next in line.”
“Lukoil’s oil-loading site in Perm was inspected on the night of 6–7 May by the freedom-loving Ukrainian ‘birds’ of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces for any remaining tanks, plugs and taps, and other units used for pumping and refining oil,” he said.
Previous strikes on Perm
In April, Ukrainian drones attacked Russian oil facilities in Perm, which is more than 1,500 kilometers from Ukraine’s border. With oil revenues, the Kremlin is able to continue killing Ukrainians, so the Defence Forces had warned that oil facilities are a target.
The strikes hit the Perm LPDS and Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez. The day after the first attack, drones carried out a second strike.
