Ukraine’s Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity, Denys Ulyutin, on the sidelines of the Second International Migration Review Forum held a meeting with Sweden’s Minister for Migration, Johan Forssell. The sides discussed support for Ukrainians in Sweden and preparations for the opening of Unity Hub Stockholm, planned for June.
According to Uliutin, the Unity Hub in Stockholm should become a place where Ukrainians can receive information about their status and opportunities in Sweden, stay connected with Ukrainian services, and learn about return conditions and opportunities in Ukraine — including jobs, local communities, and government programmes.
During the meeting, they also discussed the future status of Ukrainians in Sweden after the possible end of temporary protection in March 2027. Separately, the sides addressed the reintegration of Ukrainians after returning home. Uliutin noted that Ukraine is working on support tools, including through the development of digital services to help plan returns. Their presentation is planned for the Ukraine Recovery Conference URC 2026, which will take place on 25–26 June in the Polish city of Gdańsk.
