On 24 May, the international book and film festival will host the event Ukraine, créer en temps de guerre, which will open with a screening of Militantropos — the first part of a trilogy about the war directed by Alina Horlova, Semen Mozgovyy and Lisa Smith.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with writer Sofia Andrukhovych, who is featured in the festival programme primarily as the author of the novel Amadoka.
The event is organised by the Ukrainian Institute in France as part of the festival programme.
The French translation of Amadoka was supported through the Translate Ukraine programme run by the Ukrainian Book Institute.
In addition to Sunday’s discussion, Sofia Andrukhovych was also among the four authors invited to deliver opening speeches at the launch of the festival.
