Ukrainian authors will take part in Poland’s largest literary event. The programme includes the following events:
29 May: a meeting with poet and essayist Vasyl Makhno dedicated to his new poetry collection. The discussion will also feature Polish translator Bohdan Zadura.
30 May: a conversation with writer and founder of the literary association Fantastic Talk(s) Iryna Hrabovska. The discussion will focus on how events in Ukraine’s recent history are transformed into fantastical worlds.
Also on 30 May, Polish author Radek Rak will take part in a discussion with his Ukrainian colleague Max Kidruk.
The writers will discuss how science is woven into literary texts.
On the same day, visitors to the fair will also be able to attend a conversation with poet Iya Kiva. The discussion will focus on the poetry of memory.
Two books of reportage on Ukraine will also be presented as part of the festival: Robaków rozgryzać nie wolno (You Mustn’t Chew on Worms) by Tetyana Kolesnichenko and Dolphins and Beelzebub by Wojciech Tochman.
