The AB3.Tech defence technology platform, initiated by the Third Army Corps, will establish a cluster enabling manufacturers to test their technologies and refine them in line with frontline requirements.
This was announced by Executive Director Viktoriya Honcharuk. The first public stage of the initiative will be the AB3.Tech Challenge, which is scheduled to be launched in the summer of 2026. The AB3.Tech platform is building partnerships with companies whose technologies are already being used by units of the Third Army Corps.
“Within the cluster, each company will have the opportunity to get its systems into operational use by the military on the battlefield as quickly as possible,” AB3.Tech told LB.ua.
Cluster members “will gain access to combat trials, pilot deployments of systems, joint R&D projects, ongoing feedback from operators, assistance with technology adaptation, integration support, and joint demonstration events”.
Both teams with prototype-stage solutions and large-scale manufacturers are invited to collaborate. The key criterion is the practical value of their products for the military. Companies must be prepared to adapt their systems regularly and rapidly to meet evolving battlefield requirements. Manufacturers whose solutions are already being used by corps units, as well as those with the potential to be adopted, will be eligible to join. The initiative will provide a full cycle of cooperation, including field trials, pilot deployments, feedback collection, product adaptation to military needs, and subsequent integration.
“This covers a wide range of areas: unmanned systems, communications, electronic warfare and reconnaissance equipment, robotic systems, situational awareness systems, software, solutions for troop management, logistics, personnel training, and other technologies that help improve the effectiveness of combat operations,” AB3.Tech explained.
