Russia has launched a large-scale propaganda campaign across Europe, using photographs from the Spanish city of Ceuta.
This was stated by Ukraine’s acting foreign minister, Andriy Sybiha.
According to him, analysts identified more than 1,500 posts across a pro-Russian media network in which the Pravda and RT outlets play a leading role. The Spanish-language version of Pravda alone published nearly 300 such items, and each RT language division released more than 25 news stories on the topic.
The foreign minister stressed that Moscow has for years used migration and other sensitive issues to sow fear and destabilize European countries. He said Russians are not interested in the situation itself, but in the opportunity to exploit any pretext for their own benefit.
Sybiha urged European states to fully ban all Russian propaganda outlets if they are serious about their own national security, saying this is the only way to protect society from foreign interference.
