Overnight, the Russian army attacked Kyiv, Kremenchuk and Kryvyi Rih with Oniks anti-ship missiles, Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missiles, and 106 attack UAVs.

"On the night of August 16 (from 18:00 on August 15), the enemy attacked Kyiv, Kremenchuk and Kryvyy Rih with Oniks anti-ship missiles, Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Kursk, Bryansk and Voronezh regions, Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles from the airspace over the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region and Belgorod Region, as well as 106 attack UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, temporarily occupied Donetsk, temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea," the statement said.
The main direction of the strike was Kyiv Region, Poltava Region, and Dnipropetrovsk Region!
The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense forces shot down three Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles, as well as 85 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types and drones of other types in the north, south, east and center of the country.
Enemy aerial weapons hit 13 locations, while downed targets and debris fell at three locations.
