Ukrainian Equalizer guided bomb, following the successful completion of tests, is now being officially procured for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported by Colonel Vladyslav Voloshyn, head of a department at the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Central Directorate for Innovation Activity, according to Ukrinform.

In addition, about a dozen more promising models of precision air-launched weapons are being developed to reduce Russia’s advantage in this area.
According to Voloshyn, if last year the Russians used an average of about 180 guided aerial bombs per day, that figure has now exceeded 300. The main task for Ukraine’s military is to level the situation both qualitatively and quantitatively, and then gain the upper hand.
Ukrainian glide-and-guidance modules make it possible to turn conventional aerial bombs into precision weapons capable of striking enemy targets at operational depth, Voloshyn noted. To test the new kits, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out hundreds of sorties. Domestic developments are significantly cheaper than foreign counterparts, making it possible to rapidly scale up production.
- The Ukrainian Equalizer guided bomb was created by DG Industry. The guided bomb has a 250-kilogram warhead, a flight range of 10 to 130 kilometers, and is designed to strike targets deep in the enemy’s rear. At the same time, the Ukrainian product costs almost three times less than the U.S. equivalent, the JDAM.
