Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed Ukrainian strikes on targets in Russia, including an oil refinery and a logistics hub.
“Ukraine’s long-range sanctions continue to limit Russia’s military-economic potential and make the war more tangible in the aggressor state,” he wrote on Telegram.
Over the past day, Ukrainian units struck the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery 1,000 kilometers from the front line, and according to the president, that represents millions of dollars for the war machine from exports. A logistics hub in the Samara region was also hit. There were also Ukrainian operations in the waters of the Black Sea, the head of state wrote.
In addition, there are confirmed results from earlier strikes: at the Saky airfield, a Su-24M aircraft and four pieces of airfield equipment were destroyed, and in the Bryansk region, relay stations used to control drones were eliminated.
“I thank all the soldiers of our Defense Forces of Ukraine for their high-quality work and for depriving Russia of its strategic rear,” Zelensky added.
- Earlier, the General Staff reported on the strike on the refinery in the Samara region.
- At night, Russians complained about a drone attack. In particular, in the Samara region, the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery and the Ozon logistics complex were under attack.
