Russian forces carried out an air strike on the historic hospital building, which is a locally significant architectural landmark in Sloviansk, Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, the building has been partially destroyed.
This was reported by the head of the Sloviansk Military Administration, Vadym Liakh.
"Today, 21 September, at around 16:30, the enemy carried out an FAB-250 air strike on a non-operational medical facility in Sloviansk. Fortunately, there were no casualties," the head of the Military Administration said.
As a result of the strike, the building, which has the status of a locally significant architectural landmark, was partially destroyed.
"The building was constructed in 1901. For more than a century, people’s lives were saved here. The hospital survived the First and Second World Wars. But it could not withstand the Russian invasion," he stressed.
In addition to the medical facility building itself, nearby private homes and cars were damaged by the strike.
There were no dead or injured as a result of this strike.
