Russian strikes on filling stations have not led to fuel shortages in Kyiv. Bohdan Kukura, Chairman of the Board of Ukrnafta, said this in an interview with LB.ua.
He noted that supplies of petrol and diesel to the capital are proceeding as planned. At the same time, the company has already restored operations at filling stations in Kyiv damaged by the Russians. The stations are already performing their main function again — selling fuel.
“Despite the Russian strikes, the capital’s fuel supply remains stable. Ukrnafta has contracted and imported sufficient volumes to meet the needs of its customers. At present, there are no grounds for a shortage in our network,” Bohdan Kukura explained.
The Chairman of Ukrnafta’s Board also adds that the company sees no reason why drivers should have to stockpile fuel. The filling-station network has the necessary resources, and supplies have not been interrupted.
Ukrnafta is the largest filling-station network in Ukraine, with more than 660 stations in almost all regions of the country. Since the start of autumn, the Russians have intensified strikes on fuel infrastructure. In the capital alone, Russian army has damaged around a dozen filling stations in total, a significant share of them belonging to Ukrnafta.
