In Moldova’s Briceni district, police found the marking “Geran-4” on the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle discovered on the evening of 24 September. A partially damaged turbojet engine was also found at the crash site.

According to preliminary information, the drone detonated at an altitude of about 10 metres above the ground after colliding with trees. The explosion damaged trees within a radius of around 25 metres.
At the scene, officers found fragments of a fibreglass fuselage, electronic components, cables and elements of the power supply unit. Law enforcement also found parts of the drone’s wings, some of which bore the “Geran-4” marking.
In addition, a partially damaged turbojet engine was found among the debris.
All recovered components were sent for examination. Law enforcement noted that no other explosive devices or substances were found in the area.
Moldova’s border patrol discovered the drone wreckage about 1.7 kilometres from the state border.
