Ukraine has received a package of missiles for the NASAMS air defence system.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening video address.
“A package of missiles for NASAMS arrived in Ukraine the day before yesterday. Thank you. A very good package. We are talking with all partners to ensure we also have the necessary missiles for Patriots,” Zelenskyy said.
The President noted that the Ukrainian side is preparing talks this week on air defence and further support from partners.
- Ukraine has also reached an agreement with Belgium on the transfer of three F-16 fighter jets by the end of this year.
- In addition, there were urgent deliveries of munitions for the F-16 from Belgium and other countries, including Spain.
- After a meeting with the Ministry of Defence and the military, Zelenskyy said that “there are specific countries with which we are agreeing specific aviation packages. There will be reinforcement in the near future”.
