On the outskirts of Pryluky in the Chernihiv Region, police found fragments of a Russian cruise missile, and several hundred metres from the impact site they discovered an unexploded warhead.

This was reported by the Chernihiv regional police.

Information about the discovered fragments reached police today. During an inspection of the area, officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service found parts of the enemy missile and its warhead.

Following all safety measures, bomb disposal experts removed the munition. It will be transported for subsequent destruction at a specialised range.

Police urge citizens not to touch or move fragments of missiles, drones, shells, mines, grenades or other suspicious objects.

If an explosive object is found, people should move to a safe distance and report the discovery by calling 102, or contact the military, the State Emergency Service, or local authorities.

  • In Pryluky, at the site of the Russian strike, the body of another child was found. The death toll has risen to 19, including five children. Another 55 people were injured, including seven children.
