President Petro Poroshenko has signed decree No 122/2016 on the transfer to the reserve of military conscripts and the terms of conscription in 2016.
Under the decree, military conscripts with a master's or specialist's degree who have served the established term of military service will be transferred to the reserve from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Special Transport Service and other military formations established under the Ukrainian laws. The transfer will take place in April-June and November 2016.
Other military conscripts will be transferred to the reserve in October-December 2016.
Conscription campaigns will take place on the following dates: 5 May-30 June and October-November 2016.
As reported earlier, in 2016, the State Border Service of Ukraine resumed conscription, which was cancelled back in 2008.
Earlier the head of state said that the age of conscripts would be increased from 18 to 20.
