President said ordered sending extra National Guard troops to Odesa

President Petro Poroshenko ordered the head of the National Police and the Chief of the National Guard to send up to 1 thousand National Guards to Odessa, chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili told the TV channel 112 Ukraine.

According to him, additional law-enforcement units should help ensure "protection of public order in the city."

One Odessa bank building was shelled by a rocket-propelled grenade on Monday night.

In the early hours of April 26 thugs in Odessa beat up protesters in front of the town hall.

In this regard, Saakashvili asked additional units of National Guard to be immediately sent to Odessa.
