The USA cannot become a party to the Normandy Four talks on a Donbas settlement because Russia would object, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze said on the air of Espreso TV.
She said that France, Ukraine and Germany were coordinating their actions with the USA therefore one cay say that the USA is present in this format anyway, though not physically.
In May, German Chancellor Angela Merkel objected to the idea of expanding the Normandy format to include the USA.
