Ukrainian parliament speaker Andriy Parubiy has said he will put to vote the issue of MP Vadym Novynskyy's immunity on 8 December.
He added that parliament would consider the Prosecutor-General's Office request to have Novynskyy's immunity lifted as a matter of priority.
"My decision remains unchanged: no MP may hide behind immunity," he said.
As reported earlier, Novynskyy is suspected of putting illegal pressure on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in order to oust now late Metropolitan Volodymyr. In particular, he is suspected of depriving Volodymyr's personal assistant Oleksandr Drabynko of liberty.
