Pro-Russian militants carried out 46 attacks on the positions on the antiterrorist operation (ATO) forces from midday to 6 p.m., wounding two Ukrainian troops and injuring two others, the ATO press center has said on Facebook.

The occupiers continue to use heavy weapons.

In the Mariupol sector, they pounded Vodyane and Berdyanske with 122-mm artillery, Novohryhorivka, Krasnohorivka, Pavlopil, Talakivka, Novotroyitske and Vodyane with 120-mm mortars, Shyrokyne and Novohryhorivka with small arms. A sniper was active near Chermalyk.

In the Donetsk sector, the occupiers barraged Avdiyivka by firing around 100 shells from BM-21 multiple-launch rocket systems. They also targeted the ATO positions with 152-mm artillery. There were repeat attacks with tanks. They used 120-mm mortars against Avdiyivka, Opytne and Verkhnyotoretske and grenade launchers and small arms against Luhanske.

In the Luhansk sector, the militants repeatedly fired with 82-mm mortars on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions near Krymske, Troyitske and Novozvanivka.

Earlier, President Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with uniformed agency chiefs on the situation on Avdiyivka.
