Most of Ukraine-controlled part of Luhansk region is de-energized due to an automatic disconnection of the Luhanska TES - Lysychansk 220 kW power transmission line, Luhansk Energy Association reported on Facebook on Friday, 8 September.
The disconnection led sweeping blackouts in most of Luhansk Region, in particular, Lisichansk, Severodonetsk, Rubezhne, Kreminna, Popasna, Horske, Zolote, and Kabanne.
The cities of Stanytsya Luhanska, Shchastya, Novoaydar and Starobelsk have not been affected by the incident.
Luhansk Energy Association said repair crews have been sent to restore power supply.
